Focus on Your Wins

Grind through.

I didn’t sleep very well last night. I woke up before my baby woke up crying at 3:20am and couldn’t get to sleep until close to 4am.

This is less than ideal.

I was hoping to have woken up beating my 6am alarm. Instead, I hit snooze and was woken up again 5 minutes later.

My morning routine isn’t quite back to normal. Baseline is up and at em at 6am sharp.

None of this lollygagging around. I honestly cannot tell you the last time I hit snooze on my alarm.

I am proud of myself for dragging my ass out of bed and jumping in the shower. Getting myself ready like nay other day. The desire to turn over and go back to bed has been defeated.

Despite my sleep being poor. Feelings of wakefulness and well rested are not present.

I’m not here waiting for those perfect moments where everything comes together. I’m here working on what I want and need to do in order to achieve my goals.

Team Lazy and Excuses – 0. Team Accountability and Discipline – 1.

Yesterday was a great day. I had an overall good day finished with a huge win on the day.

Last night wasn’t a great or even a good night. Why should I let that have a negative impact on today? It’s not going to ruin my day.

I’m better than that. Ignore last night and focus on yesterday. Build ontop of yesterdays win.
